Forty years ago, Prime Minister Mackenzie King ordered the internment of Japanese Canadians in “protective areas” of BC’s interior. Tashme, now known as Sunshine Valley, was one such internment camp. Inge Wilson of the Hope Museum will present a brief history of Sunshine Valley.
