DESCRIPTION:Indoor – Watch\, Check\, Count\, Record \n\nThe Fraser Valley Conservancy owns properties that are important wildlife corridors. We have set up cameras that automatically record photos along game trails on these properties. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to review the photos and videos regularly\, and to identify and count the species captured. SUMMARY:Toadlet Fencing 2026
DESCRIPTION:Outdoor – Carry\, Walk\, Hammer\, Staple \nAre you interested in helping nature and wildlife in the Fraser Valley? We have an event coming up that might interest you! This Ryder Lake Nature Team event is open to anyone living in the Fraser Valley.  \nWe will be building a temporary fence along Elk View Road. This will help guide the toadlets and other juvenile frogs to safe road crossings (aka the toad tunnel) so they can travel from their breeding wetland to their new forest homes! \n\nVolunteer requirements: \n\n• Capable of lifting up to 15 lbs and climbing over fencing \n• Comfortable using a shovel\, hammer and staple gun \n• Able to stand and walk on uneven ground/in a ditch along a road\, and in a hay field \n• Works well in a team and follows instructions \n  \nClick here to read the full volunteer job description. \n  \nClick here to register \nRegistration is required so we can update you if there is a change in plans. \n Date and time are subject to change due to weather and amphibian activity.  \n

We will need volunteers on an ongoing basis to help us enhance habitat on our conservation properties in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. \nThese invasive control events will happen during the week throughout September and October.
