DESCRIPTION:Indoor & Outdoor – Learn\, Ask\, Explore\, Discover \nDid you know that Ryder Lake is one of the few places in Canada where the elusive and endangered Phantom Orchid grows? \nJoin us for a special indoor and outdoor event to learn all about this unique\, rare plant and what you can do to help. We will start with a presentation inside Ryder Lake Hall\, followed by a visit to a nearby property where we will hopefully see a phantom orchid blooming in the wild. \nTakeaways:  \n🌿 Learn how to identify the Phantom Orchid and where and when to find it. \n🌿 Discover what makes the Phantom Orchid unique and why it’s endangered. \n🌿 Find out how you can help protect the Phantom Orchid and support local conservation efforts. \n🌿 Experience a guided walk to (hopefully!) see a Phantom Orchid blooming in the wild. \nImportant Reminders:  \n👉 Event by donation at the door. Pizza will be offered. Registration required. \n👉 Parking is provided at Ryder Lake Hall. Please respect the no parking signs around the firehall. \n👉 Be prepared that accessing the location of the Phantom Orchid may require a short walk / easy hike.
