Outdoor – Search under leaf and litter for snails
Are you interested in learning more about native land snails and their habitat? We are looking for a small team to help us search for and measure Oregon Forestsnails on our Abbotsford property.
This event will happen during the week in mid may depending on the weather.
Volunteer requirements:
Be comfortable working in a forest without trails
Be able to crawl over logs, duck through bushes
Capable of working on uneven and sloped terrain
Willing to crawl or crouch to search in leaf litter, near logs and under plants
Comfortable picking up and handling snails and slugs (gloves will be provided)
Able willing to learn about snail ID and habitat
