Invasive Species 101 Workshop

Jun 10, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Are you battling Himalayan blackberry in your yard? Do you wish you knew what to do with that dreaded morning glory? Curious about the increase in stink bugs lately? Learn from experts Kathy Ma Green, Executive Director of the Fraser Valley Invasive Species Society, and Allison McCabe, Senior lead of outreach at the Invasive Species Council of BC. They will touch on both regional and provincial perspectives about the best ways to identify and manage invasive species you may have in your backyard, neighbourhood and community.

After the presentation at the Agassiz Library, we’ll go on a walk-and-talk in a local park so you can get on-the-ground knowledge of what these invasive species look like, what environments they thrive in, and the best ways you can help eradicate them.

Come loaded with all your invasive species questions and an appetite for knowledge, we’ll provide the rest!
