Come join us for a FREE workshop to learn step-by-step how to weave a basket using the invasive plant species, English Ivy.
You’ll go home with important knowledge of how you can help eradicate this invasive species, along with a basket made by your own two hands!
We’ll be joined by the instructor Marissa Waddell from Alouette River Management Society.
Come join us for a fun day of crafting and learning under the shade of trees!
We will provide all necessary equipment, as well as refreshments. If you want to pick the ivy for your basket yourself, feel free to join us earlier for an ivy pull!
Children are welcome as long as they come with parental supervision!
We’ll be meeting near the Mission leisure center, in the grassy field right beside the community garden. We’ll have signs around the parking lot directing people to the area we’re meeting.
