Outdoor – Carry, Walk, Hammer, Staple
Are you interested in helping nature and wildlife in the Fraser Valley? We have an event coming up that might interest you! This Ryder Lake Nature Team event is open to anyone living in the Fraser Valley.
We will be building a temporary fence along Elk View Road. This will help guide the toadlets and other juvenile frogs to safe road crossings (aka the toad tunnel) so they can travel from their breeding wetland to their new forest homes!
Volunteer requirements:
• Capable of lifting up to 15 lbs and climbing over fencing
• Comfortable using a shovel, hammer and staple gun
• Able to stand and walk on uneven ground/in a ditch along a road, and in a hay field
• Works well in a team and follows instructions
