Contest Details

The contest runs from December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, featuring 25 BINGO squares with tasks designed to help you adopt eco-friendly habits while having fun. Any 5 of the 25 tasks must be completed and submitted through the Zelos app by 11:59 PM PST on January 31, 2026. Be one of the first 50 participants to complete any 5 BINGO square tasks and WIN one species at risk canvas tote bag (while supplies last).

Feeling ambitious? Complete all 25 squares and you’ll be entered to win a $25 gift card to West Coast Seeds. Winner will be selected by random draw 1 week after the contest closing date.

We’ll be sharing each bingo task on our social channels throughout December and January, so you can stay inspired, get quick reminders, and cheer on other participants. Follow along to make completing your five (or all twenty-five!) feel fun, easy, and connected. It’s the best way to stay in the loop during the Holiday Sustainability Bingo.

The Species at Risk Tote Bag

Made from 100% recycled cotton and made in Canada, this large canvas tote showcases artwork of five endangered species:

Barn Owl, Mountain Beaver, Northern Red-legged Frog, Oregon Forest Snail, and the Painted Turtle.

General Contest Questions
1. What is the Holiday Sustainability BINGO Contest?

It’s a fun, eco-friendly challenge running this winter! Complete any 5 of the 25 sustainable tasks listed in the Zelos app for a chance to win a Species at Risk canvas tote bag.

2. When does the contest run?

From December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. You can join and participate at any time during these dates!

3. Who can take part?

Anyone 16 years or older who lives in the Fraser Valley Regional District can join.

4. Can I participate if I don’t live in the Fraser Valley Regional District?

Unfortunately, the contest is only open to residents of the Fraser Valley Regional District, BC, including Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, the District of Kent, and Hope. However, we still encourage you to make eco-friendly changes at home!
Check to see if your area is part of the Fraser Valley Regional District.

5. How do I participate?

Log in to the Zelos app, look for the Holiday Sustainability BINGO Contest, fill out the contest form, and complete tasks by uploading a photo showing you’ve done each one.

6. What do I need to win?

Complete any 5 tasks and upload photo proof through the app before the contest closes. The first 50 people who do this and meet all the requirements will win a canvas bag (while quantities last).

7. How will I know if I’ve won?

If you’re one of the first 50 to complete the challenge, we’ll contact you through email or the Zelos app with pickup details. Please note that our office is closed December 22, 2025 – January 4, 2026. Winners who have completed 5 tasks during this time will be contacted when our office reopens.

8. Where do I pick up my prize?

Prizes must be picked up from the Fraser Valley Conservancy office in Abbotsford, BC.

9. Do I have to pay or make a donation to join?

No — there’s no purchase necessary. One optional task includes donating to the FVC, but that’s completely voluntary.

10. How will my photos be used?

Photos will be used to confirm task completion. Some may also be shared on FVC’s social media, newsletter, or website to celebrate the contest and its participants.

Participation
11. What types of tasks will I need to complete?

BINGO square tasks are based on the contest theme of sustainability and may include actions like picking up 10 pieces of trash, carpooling or taking public transit, or using eco-friendly products.

12. How do I log my progress or complete tasks in the Zelos app?

You’ll use the Zelos app to report completed tasks. Open the app and in the drop-down menu and click on “tasks”. From there, choose a task and click “sign up”. Instructions will be provided for each task.

13. How do I know how many tasks I've completed?

The Zelos app will track your tasks and allow you to view your current total in your profile.

14. Can I participate if I don’t have a smartphone or access to the Zelos app?

Yes, the Zelos app can also be accessed through a computer browser, so you can still log your BINGO tasks.

15. Can multiple members of my household register for the BINGO contest?

Yes, as long as each participant is 16 or older and registers with their own account.

16. I’m having trouble using the Zelos app. Who can I contact for help?

17. Can I participate if I don’t have internet access?

Internet access is required to log your tasks and participate in the contest through the Zelos app.

18. What should I do if I accidentally log incorrect information for a BINGO task?

Please reach out to steptoit@fraservalleyconservancy.ca or outreach@fraservalleyconservancy.ca to correct the error. Incorrect information may result in disqualification if not addressed.
