This summer, you might meet Josh and Elise – our Summer Conservation Technicians – helping out on FVC conservation projects, and attending local community events to spread the word about the awesome work we do.

They’d like to introduce themselves to you! Take a look at their bios below.

Hi, my name is Elise and I am one of the students working at FVC this summer. I am currently studying Environmental Science at SFU as I have a love for the outdoors and want to preserve it for the future. I’m really excited to be working with staff that have experience in many different areas of environmental conservation. During the summer I will be representing the FVC local community events, working on the Ryder Lake toad project and helping with conservation work on FVC properties. If you see me, come say hi!
Hello, I’m Josh and I have a geography degree from University of the Fraser Valley. I’m thrilled work with the FVC staff this summer! I’m excited to learn from these experts with varying backgrounds at the FVC – I’m especially interested in learning about all the different species we have here in the Fraser Valley. I’m now attending the University of the Fraser Valley as a 3rd year student in the Social Work program and I hope to one day work with populations at risk, connecting them to the environment by bringing them out into nature and providing them with work, volunteering, recreation activities, and rehabilitation opportunities. I can’t wait to get out there in the field, and hope to see you out there as well!
