Each contest runs for eight weeks, featuring weekly challenges designed to help you adopt eco-friendly habits. Complete the challenges by logging your activities in the free Zelos app. Each completed weekly challenge earns you an entry into the draw for smaller prizes. Completing all weekly challenges qualifies you for the grand prize draw.
Kickstart each contest with an educational workshop offering practical tips and guidance. While attendance isn’t mandatory, participating can enhance your experience and success in the challenges. Bonus entries will be awarded to those who attend each workshop.
Each contest features a grand prize and at least two smaller prizes. Prizes may consist of gift cards, eco-friendly products, or experiences. Winners will be selected through random draws and notified via email, and shared on our social media channels.
The Go Green! contests are a series of fun, educational challenges focused on sustainable practices at home. Each contest runs for approximately 8 weeks, featuring weekly tasks participants can complete to earn entries into prize draws. Complete all tasks to qualify for grand prizes or participate in bonus activities for extra chances to win.
You can participate in as many contests as you like. Each contest is independent, so you can join just one or all three.
No, participation in all Go Green! contests is free.
Unfortunately, the contests are only open to residents of the Fraser Valley Regional District, BC, including Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, the District of Kent, and Hope. However, we still encourage you to make eco-friendly changes at home!
Participants must be 19 years or older to enter the contests. However, children are welcome to participate alongside their family members.
Tasks will vary based on the contest theme and may include actions like composting, reducing water or electricity usage, or sharing your progress on social media.
You’ll use the Zelos app to report completed tasks. Open the app and in the drop-down menu click on “tasks”. from there, click on the task for the current week and click “sign up”. Instructions will be provided for each weekly challenge.
Yes, bonus challenges will be announced in the Zelos app or on our social media. Enable push notifications to ensure you don’t miss them.
Yes, but skipping challenges means fewer entries into the smaller prize draws and you won’t be eligible to win the grand prize.
The Zelos app will track your entries and allow you to view your current total in your profile.
Each contest has its own registration link, which is under the “Getting Started” section on the Go Green! contest page. When each contest is live, the link will take you to the registration landing page on the Zelo app.
You can still join! You’ll only need to complete the remaining weekly challenges to earn entries for the smaller prize draws. However, once a contest ends, it will no longer be available.
No, but completing all weekly challenges earns you an entry for the grand prize draw. Completing individual challenges earns entries for smaller prizes.
Yes, the Zelos app can also be accessed through a computer browser, so you can still log your entries.
No penalties, but you’ll miss the chance to earn additional entries for that week.
Yes, as long as each participant is 19 or older and registers with their own account.
